Common Symptoms of Pregnancy

Missed Period
Often the first sign. You might not even feel pregnant at this point.

Nausea
Called “morning sickness,” this queasy feeling can pop up anytime (but usually gets better over time)

Swollen/Sore Breasts
Extra hormones can make your breasts feel tender, full or sensitive to the touch.

Tiredness
Feeling extra sleepy? This is because your body uses more energy during pregnancy.

Frequent Urination
Your body produces more fluids when pregnant, making bathroom trips more frequent.

Changes in Appetite
Craving strange foods or losing interest in others can be caused by the hormonal changes of pregnancy.

You might not be pregnant

Experiencing one or many pregnancy symptoms doesn’t necessarily mean you’re pregnant. You may be experiencing symptoms like these for other reasons like stress, a hormonal imbalance, birth control pills, illness or dieting. Even a change in routine can sometimes trigger a late period.

The earliest way to confirm a pregnancy is with a medical grade pregnancy test and ultrasound at Women’s Care Center. If your period is late, contact us today.
